Knoydart Experience Week
A Wilderness experience in the Scottish Highlands, providing a real insight into living and working on Knoydart, the UK’s most remote peninsula. You’ll enjoy the luxury and excitement of a beautiful ensuite shore side room, personal guides and the very best of Scottish hospitality.
On arrival in Mallaig you’ll meet your hosts, Rebecca and Andrew, with their iconic boat, Gripper II. Your adventure starts before you even arrive at Doune, journeying along the Sound of Sleat. You’ll be surrounded by the Isle of Skye’s majestic Cuillin Ridge to your Port side and Knoydart’s magnificent mountains to Starboard. Your immersion into Highland life will have started with tales of volcanos, glaciers, icebergs and mythical creatures.
You’ll savour a Seafood Feast on your first evening, with West Coast Shellfish taking centre stage at the dinner table. There will also be an opportunity to learn about the Scottish

The itinerary for the week will be flexible to allow for the needs of the group and to make the most of the Scottish weather. The week will be geared to suit the needs of fit and able hikers who have experience of being out on the hill for 6-8 hours per day. Some walks will involve mountain ascent and the terrain underfoot can be rough and boggy – these can be missed or adapted to suit your needs.
The group size is limited to eight. Our rooms can be adapted to suit solo travellers sharing with one other of the same sex, solo travellers who would prefer an exclusive room or couples. We have three rooms which can be made up with twin beds or as a Super King, and our Old Bothy Room is made up as a Double.
Rates start at £1750 per person for seven nights and are fully inclusive with all meals, a pre-dinner drink, wine matched dinner, and a whisky or gin tasting tour. All transport and guiding is also included.
