A trip to our cafe is a great way to spend a day on Knoydart! We are open from 10 until 3, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, serving home made soups, omelettes, fresh baked cakes, desserts and hot drinks.

We are also fully licensed with a range of beers, wines and spirits.

We also offer picnics loaded with home baked goodies that you can collect from the restaurant and take down to the beach, up into the hills or simply sit and eat outside the restaurant. To get to Doune, head out of Inverie on the Airor road. It is a lovely couple of hours walk with very little traffic and incredible views out to Skye. You will walk past signs for Sandaig and come to a wooden sign that say Doune Here with a helpful arrow pointing down the path. If you choose to cycle, you can leave your bikes behind the vehicles parked at the top.

Head down the path – it takes about 15 minutes and Doune will open up infront of you. You will see 2 long buildings on the shore – the restaurant and cafe is in the building on the right as you walk down the hill.
