Couples and families
Doune Stone Lodges are ideally suited to two people traveling together and families. The three Stone Lodge rooms nestle a few short metres from the shore, you can literally flick a pebble into the sea. Each room can be made up as a twin or as a supering, with ensuite facilities and plenty of space with easy chairs to relax and enjoy the view. Each room has it’s own porch and access to the sea-facing decking along the front of the building.
Rock pools, seals, boating, no traffic to worry about, what could be better for a family holiday? A built in ladder in each room accesses a mezzanine with two full size mattresses, ideal for children aged approximately four or older. For little ones we can bring a mattress down to ground level. No TV, but lots of games and fun things to do.
Young people are enormously welcome in the dining room, the more the merrier. For younger ones we can arrange an early supper if required and for babies, a standard baby alarm will work in the dining room so you can relax and enjoy your meal in confidence.
Coming to Doune on Knoydart as an individual need not be a lonely experience although you will certainly find lots of space if you want to be on your own.
