Saturday Evening
Join us for a traditional Roast dinner served with mountains of roasties, vegetables and Yorkie puds (we are from Yorkshire after all!) Rebecca is a former Sunday Roast Chef of the Year, so you can expect something a little bit special. The roast is finished with a refreshing sorbet using fruit from our garden in the summer, and the evening ends with a selection of Scottish cheeses and home made biscuits.

Friday Evening
Prawn Night. Alan and Mary Robinson, the founders of Doune, would have a run of prawn pots in the bay outside the restaurant. Once a week they would haul them in and cook up whatever had found its way into the pots. It is a tradition that has remained our prawns are caught by our Loch Hourn neighbour, Peter Carr, in the waters outside our bay. Either Peter drops the freshly caught catch at our pier or we go out in the boat and meet him at sea for a boat to boat transfer. After a warming starter, fill your plates with prawns, accompanied by salads packed with home grown leaves, herbs and flowers. Finish this civilised dinner with a delicious dessert and you become one of the many who have enjoyed the Doune Dining Room Prawn night over the years.
