About Us
The Doune Stone Lodges and Dining Room are owned and run by Rebecca Rutherford and Andrew Brodie, ably assisted by Rebecca’s 12 year old son, Bob. There is also Annie the dog, Alan the cat, 22 chickens, 4 pigs and a garden that’s regularly full of red deer stags.
We moved to Doune in 2021 having fallen in love with Knoydart during previous visits. The opportunity to live and work here was too good to pass up, so we took the plunge and haven’t looked back. Rebecca’s extensive experience running gastro pubs, restaurants and outside catering operations lend themselves perfectly to continuing Doune’s incredible reputation for great, freshly home made food. Andrew looks after the guests in the restaurant and operates Gripper II, our 32′ boat that we use to transport guests and supplies. Bob applies his practical mind to lots of building and maintenance tasks and is regularly on hand to porter guests bags from the pier to the rooms
